He's like the ring leader, he calls the shots. She's like a firecracker, she makes it hot. And together, they put on a show! No I'm not talking about Britney Spears and her circus, I'm talking about Brad Bell and Katherine Kelly Lang. At the last event I was only able to speak to Mr. Bell very briefly as he was walking around, but this year, he had his own table. I know many hardcore fans would love to have five minutes with him, but unlike most of them, I didn't use the time to rip into him. Instead I got the chance to ask him about writing B&B, and what are his favorite scenes that he has written over the past 22 years of the show's run. He had nothing but praise for Katherine Kelly Lang, and it was great to hear him talk about the scene that they had submitted for the Daytime Emmy Award ceremony, which was to be held just 24 hours later. In a beautiful moment, The Bold and the Beautiful was finally recognized and won the award for best daytime drama for the first time ever. And all for the scenes that Brad had just stated were of his favorite. You can check out his response on video here:
Meeting Brad Bell himself was a great pleasure, and he is a very friendly man to talk to. Congratulations to him for finally winning, as well as Katherine Kelly Lang, William deVry, and all of the actors and staff members that brought those amazing scenes to life. I'll never forget watching Storm's sacrifice, and I will never forget how happy I was to see B&B FINALLY win. It truly is the best.
